Bold yet serene, Vrishti carries the spirit of a blooming courtyard just after a summer downpour, rich with scent, colour, and quiet renewal. This handcrafted Khadi saree is a rhythmic dance of deep indigo, madder red, and soft ochre florals, arranged in horizontal garlands that echo ancient Indian borders and folk motifs.
Handspun and handwoven by artisans in Bardhaman, this saree is made with fine 100-count yarn on the warp and 56-count on the weft, a combination that lends it breathability without compromising structure. The patterns are discharge-printed in Sanganer, Rajasthan, using traditional block printing techniques and then steamed and washed to reveal their truest hues on the soft Khadi base.
The zari work at the pallu adds a touch of celebratory shimmer without overpowering the saree’s rustic charm. It's a versatile drape, one that feels equally at home in a bustling urban market or during a quiet festive morning with family.
