A sculpted Yali rests against broad, open scrollwork that extends into a delicate pointed flourish below. The smooth metal curves frame the rounded body, bringing the intricate texture of its mane into focus. Spaces within the design allow the skin beneath to become part of the composition. Inspired by Hampi’s sculptural forms, the Yali is traditionally soil-cast and refined by hand. Its unplated finish allows the metal to acquire the patina that is an intended part of this collection.
