The Yali sits close to the ear, its curled mane and poised body resting above a smooth semicircular form. Small twisted and rounded metal details lead to a single green teardrop, completing the compact composition. We have kept the surrounding forms simple so that the sculpted creature remains the focus. Cast using traditional Indian soil-casting techniques and carefully refined by hand, each Yali carries subtle variations. The unplated metal is intended to age naturally, recalling the timeworn character of the sculptures that inspired us.
