Yali Sarani Jamdani Saree

Across the body, Yali figures appear within a field of silver zari checks. At the pallu, they come together in three rows, their repeated forms creating a procession in thread. Each lion-like body is woven in madder red, with a silver zari mane that catches the light. The supplementary extra-weft technique of Jamdani gives definition to these small figures, allowing their posture and character to remain visible through repetition.
